Sherry Chandler

Sherry Chandler, LCSW

Sherry is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 15 years of experience as a therapist. Sherry has a background in chaplaincy and specializes in integration of spirituality into her clinical work. Sherry works with people of all religious backgrounds, enhancing and exploring spirituality in addition to mental health treatment. Additionally, she works with people of color and integrates racial justice work into her practice. Sherry has a particular interest in working with older adults struggling with issues of life functioning and transitioning to older adulthood. She also has ample experience treating depressive, anxiety, and mood disorders.

In addition to Sherry’s Master of Social Work degree, she attended a certification program where she became trained and certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She also received a Master of Science in Theology and attended a hospital chaplaincy program to learn more about spiritual issues and resources to integrate into her clinical practice.

Sherry adapts her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and training in spiritual enhancement to each client, creating individualized treatment plans and providing specialized treatment to meet the needs of each client. She considers her approach to be collaborative and holistic, and invites clients to her practice who need a compassionate and non judgemental approach.
