Debbie Kramer, LCSW
Debbie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience working as a therapist. She specializes in Perinatal Mental Health. She received her Master of Social Work with a specialization in mental health from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009. She has many years of experience working in community mental health assisting adults in coping with grief and loss, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and life stressors, and in working with women who are experiencing infertility, challenging pregnancies, pregnancy loss, and who are new parents.
Debbie is passionate about working with people during the perinatal period and across the childbearing years, and those who are experiencing depression, anxiety, or life transitions. She completed a training series in Reproductive Mental Health that primarily utilized an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) focus. She also completed Postpartum Support International’s Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care certificate program and attended conferences about Understanding and Working with Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Working with Pregnancy Loss and Infertility. While her training continues to grow and evolve, she draws from mindfulness, acceptance, and cognitive behavioral therapy in her treatment approach.
Debbie’s compassion, demeanor, and nonjudgmental stance will increase people’s comfort level to be able to collaborate in therapy and improve their well-being. Clients are often drawn to Debbie’s calm presence.
