Julia Waldorf, Intern (She/Her)

Julia is a student intern on the graduate level, working toward obtaining a dual degree in Art Therapy with a Specialization in Mental Health Counseling from Seton Hill University. As an art therapist, she can provide both traditional talk therapy as well as expressive art therapy. Her therapeutic approach is strengths-based and tailored to each individual client. She draws from Humanistic, Feminist, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches.

She is committed to providing trauma-informed care and is particularly passionate about LGBT affirming counseling and neurodivergence. She values a warm, collaborative relationship with her clients and believes you are the expert on your life. Before graduate school, Julia was an artist and activist. She now strives to use her passions to support you in your journey towards healing and empowerment.

If you’ve ever felt like you don’t have the right words to describe an experience or emotion, you may be interested in art therapy. No prior art experience is required. In art therapy, we integrate your therapeutic process with the creative process, allowing us to dig deeper and see things from a new perspective!
